FamilyFund (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
By downloading, installing, or using FamilyFund, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the App.
FamilyFund allows you to log transactions, create budgets, and track expenses. This financial data is:
Stored exclusively on your device (locally via SwiftData)
Synced securely to your personal iCloud account (via CloudKit)
Never transmitted to our servers or any third-party service
When you subscribe to FamilyFund Premium:
Apple processes your payment directly using StoreKit 2
We receive anonymous transaction validation data from Apple (transaction ID, subscription status)
We do not collect or store your credit card information, billing address, or personal identity details
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple Inc.
If you enable diagnostics (optional):
App crash reports
Feature usage statistics (aggregated, non-identifiable)
Device type and OS version
This data is used solely to improve app stability and performance
FamilyFund does NOT collect:
Email addresses or usernames (unless you voluntarily provide them in notes)
Location data
Contact list information
Biometric data
Browsing history
Any personally identifiable information for tracking or marketing
Financial Data: Exclusively for your personal use within the App.
Subscription Data: To validate your Premium subscription status and provide Premium features.
Diagnostic Data: To diagnose crashes, improve performance, and enhance user experience.
Contact Information: Only to respond to support requests if you email us directly.
Your financial data is stored in your private iCloud database
This database is encrypted by Apple and only accessible by you and your Apple-signed devices
We (the developers) cannot access your financial records
You maintain full control over your iCloud account
SwiftData stores a local copy of your data on each device
This data is protected by iOS device encryption
FamilyFund does not maintain our own servers to store user data. All data remains either on your device or in your iCloud account.
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties, including:
Marketing agencies
Data brokers
Social media platforms
Analytics companies (except Apple’s crash reporting, if enabled)
Exception: We may disclose information if required by law (court order, subpoena, government request).
FamilyFund is designed for families and may be used by minors. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent
If FamilyFund is used by minors, we recommend parents/guardians:
Set up the account
Configure family sharing through Apple ID
Monitor usage as needed
No financial data is transmitted to us or third parties
FamilyFund uses the following Apple services:
CloudKit (iCloud): For secure data syncing (Apple Privacy Policy applies)
StoreKit 2: For subscription payment processing (Apple Privacy Policy applies)
SafariServices: To display legal documents (Terms, Privacy Policy). Safari is Apple’s system browser with built-in privacy protections

FamilyFund does not integrate RevenueCat, Firebase, Google Analytics, or similar services.
Financial Data: Retained as long as you use the App. You can delete all data by deleting the App
iCloud Data: Retained in your iCloud account indefinitely or until you delete it
Subscription Status: Retained by Apple for billing purposes
Diagnostic Data: Retained by Apple for 30 days (per Apple’s policy)
You have the right to:
Access: View all financial data stored in the App
Delete: Remove any transaction, budget, or category
Export (Premium): Download your data as CSV/PDF (if available in Premium tier)
iCloud Control: Turn off iCloud sync in Settings > [Your Device] > iCloud > FamilyFund
Unsubscribe: Cancel Premium subscription anytime in App Store settings (manage subscriptions)
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App implies acceptance of the updated policy.
